My friend Becky is out of town on vacation called and asked me to please go pick the ripe tomatoes from her garden.Jasper and I went a pickin' yesterday on our way home from the gym, and I have been in tomato heaven ever since. My new favorite snack is sliced tomatoes and a mozzarella cheese stick. Yum! I have even been feeding them to Jasper and he seems to like them.

My favorite tomato thing is to slice the tomato into 6th or 8ths, but not all the way through so the tomato is still attached at the bottom. Then I put mozzarella cheese between the slices of tomato, sprinkle some basil on top, and then wrap up the whole thing in foil and bake for about 10 minutes. Mmm, cheesey and tomato-ey!
I used to hate tomatoes and now I love tomatoes on sandwiches but I have to admit garden fresh tomatoes are great enough for me to eat just as a snack. YUMMY
I was wondering if you were able to get any! Your camera makes them look delicious! I am waiting for more to ripen and enjoying some grape tomatoes that my Mom sent home with me in the meantime.
