Popcorn Popping

For the last few weeks our trees really do like like popcorn popping.

It is a beautiful sight to drive up and down the streets in our area and catch a glimpse of the pink and white blossoms.  We even had some buds pop up on our Ash trees last month.


Jasper made a cute craft in preschool last week with a tree adorned with real popcorn.  The only problem is -- he wants to eat it!

I took this photo of the buds one month ago on Feb. 7th.  Seems early for Spring but if sure feels good.

 

"Costco Kid"

I admit that Jasper and I are frequent Costco shoppers.

We've got our buddies that we say hello to each time we go.  Jessica in the electronics "cage" even gives Jasper a sucker from her secret candy stash.  He is spoiled and loved by the Costco team. 

Tonight we saw Doreen that works at the Membership desk and she told us to make sure and say goodbye to her on our way out the door.

She actually made Jasper an employee name badge that says "Costco Kid".  He proudly wore his name tag out the door, during dinner and he even wanted to sleep with it on.

Thanks Doreen.  It's a big hit!

Lucky Tie

I got this pattern a few months ago to sew some ties for Jasper.  They are very easy and inexpensive.

I saw some cute shamrock material for $1 at Quiltique and I thought it would be fun to make Jasper a lucky tie.

I tried to teach him to say "lucky" but all that comes out is a word that sounds like lucky that he already knows..."yucky."
