New Mercedes-Benz

If you know anything about the cars that the attorneys at Mike's firm drive -- I probably had you going with the title of this blog post. :>

The new Mercedes in the house belongs to the youngest member of our family.

My grandpa won Jasper a ride-on dump truck at the Beaver County Fire Department Christmas Party. In one of those steal-the-gift games he had to take it from someone else -- but we are sure glad that he did.

Jasper absolutely loves it! Thank you Grandpa!

Christmas Party

The last few years Mike's office Christmas party has been at the Anthem Country Club. It is beautiful, glorious and fully decked out for Christmas.

We had a WONDERFUL night out on Saturday. Thank you Mandi for watching Jasper.

This year they had a drawing for gifts and Mike won a new bluetooth headset, which is something that he really needed.

We sat next to Sharon and her husband -- so the dinner conversation was excellent.

I was quite pleased with myself for throwing an outfit together from my closet. I have already requested a new outfit for the party next year. Hopefully Santa will deliver.

I brought my little camera and had fun taking photos of a few couples in front of the big Christmas tree and wreath.

I think I might bring our big camera next year to take photos. I am sure that Mike will just love that idea! :>

Let's Read a Book

I will be honest and say that we have had a lot of fun receiving fun Christmas packages.

Tonight right before dinner we opened a package that just arrived from my friend Bonnie.

In addition to a Beaver, Utah shirt for Jasper and some delicious creamy honey, she sent us a box full of books. Our favorite treat!

While Jasper was in his high chair I showed him each of the books that we received. Jasper seemed most excited about The Little Penguin. He grabbed onto it, started "reading it" and wouldn't let go.

Thanks Bon!

Peek-A-Boo

Jasper LOVES to play peek-a-boo.

His peek-a-boo obsession has been a long time in the making.

He used to just hide his body, and then pop out for a surprise. A couple weeks ago he started hiding behind his hands, and he can't get enough.

When we talk to my mom on the phone and she blurts out the magic word, Jasper's 10 minute peek-a-boo marathon begins. Even though he can't see grammy, he still plays peek-a-boo with her over the phone.

Give us a call if you want to play.

Happy Santa!

I am excited to have a post not titled "Grumpy Santa".

Playin' Around

I call this photo --
King of the Playground.

Jasper loved the different playgrounds at the resort we stayed at in St. George, Utah. He had fun picking up the woodchip pieces and eating a few.

This was Jasper's first time in "big boy" swing. He had such a great time while Mike pushed him. He loved his daddy!

Ho, Ho Ho!

Jasper's first chance to sit on Santa's lap was a semi-success due to the tiny candy cane Santa gave Jasper.

I didn't get a really great shot, but I am just calling it good.

They had a Santa at Tuacahn that we visited at intermission. It sure beat going to the mall and waiting in line.

Jasper had on a red polar fleece outfit. Santa joked with Santa that he had on a Santa outfit too!

Jasper's First Concert

We drove up to St. George with some friends for the Peter Breinholt / Ryan Shupe / Sam Payne Christmas concert at Tuacahn outdoor amphitheater. We had a great time!

Tuacahn is fully decorated for Christmas and I loved seeing all the Christmas lights.

I won't lie -- it was chilly. But Jasper loved the music so much that I didn't feel too bad. We did have him bundled up pretty well.

Weekend Trip to St. George

We drove up to St. George, Utah with some friends. I could not believe how cold it was!

We stayed in a nice 3 bedroom condo and Jasper loved all of the pools and waterfalls. Thanks for getting the condo for us Shiloh.

When we were packing the car to come home I thought I lost Jasper. Mike & I fanned out to look for him. The only problem is that we did not look UP! He was up to the 3rd flight of stairs, just having a great time.

He is such a little explorer.

Gettin' Some Lovin'

We went to pick Mike up at work so we could take him to lunch at Firehouse. (Yes, we are eating food again. We thought we'd take it easy and try a sandwich).

We made a stop by "Grandma" Sharon's office so Jasper could get some lovin'.

She always has a little treat to share with Jasper.

She always has a lot of love and kisses to share too.

Picture Day

I can never get a photo of Jasper sitting still, except for when he is in his car seat. Why didn't i think of this earlier?

Too bad we can't do a family photo shoot this way. It would be much easier.

On the Mend

Thanks to everyone for your prayers and well wishes toward our speedy recovery.

We are definitely doing better. As Mike says -- We're not 100%, but we hope to be so soon!

Step It Up

It may not look like a step to you, but a new flat of Costco water bottles is just what Jasper needs to reach the kitchen drawers and counter.

He will climb on anything.

When I asked him to climb down, he flashed me "the look".

Tiny Man Down

I am counting down the days until Jasper's two bottom molars are all the way through.

They are half way in and look incredibly painful. Tonight I rubbed them down with Orajel, and they were bleeding and super swollen.

Due to the teething trauma, Jasper's not sleeping well. This morning at 8:35 AM he crashed out for a mini-nap on the futon.

And yes, he's grumpy. Really grumpy.
