Trouble

I gasped when I turned and saw Jasper spray painting our house. He decorated the tile floor, hardwood floor, baseboards and wall. And himself.

For a brief moment I hoped I was having a bad dream, but this was my reality. Definitely not one of my brighter spots of being a stay at home mom.

At the end of the day on Tuesday a contractor left a can of deep red marking spray paint just inside our sliding glass doors, next to the wall, hidden by the leg of my desk...and we did not notice it.

But first thing Wednesday morning Jasper noticed it. And he loved how marking paint is so easy to spray because of the nozzle.

This photo was taken when I was almost complete with clean up. I was too in shock to take a photo of the entire mess. And to me honest, I don't think that I want to remember it all.

I stuck Jasper in his crib for an hour while I scrubbed the redness. He wanted to help out, and was making the mess even bigger.

It almost seems like Jasper was testing out a few of the manufacturer's claims about their product:

* Non-clogging can empties contents completely
. (yes, that worked)

* Adheres to almost any surface, including wood, concrete, asphalt, brick, and gravel. (Jasper experimented with tile, hard wood floors, wood baseboards and painted drywall).

He has red toenails --- looks like he got a pedicure.

Yes, I did get it up off the floors. My baseboard and wall need to be repainted.

Oh Angela! My goodness. How awful. These kids find anything they can to get into trouble. Good luck with the rest of the clean up.

WOW! That's awful. I'm glad you could find the humor in it though. I'm glad it's fixable!

As much as you want to forget it, you'll remember this forever. I can't remember Quinn's or Grayson's first big messes but I sure do remember the day I walked into the office and found Benjamin coloring the computer with a Sharpee. I felt like a cartoon character that would rub its eyes and look again. Horrible feeling {but funny blog post!}

Oh my goodness! Awful. Reagan did that with white out on my brand new kitchen table!!! AAAAGGGGHHHH. I still see white specks inside the grain. She was about the same age as Jasper. I would have that workers butt on a platter...... well okay, I would sure wish that I could.

Oh man, I would have died!!! I must say it's hearing things like that that scare me about Coleman growing up. I'm sorry to hear it was such a mess but I'm glad you got it out of your tile.

Ang! I DIED when I read your post! I don't know what I would have done. Hopefully I'd say, "What a mess! Get the camera!" so I could cool off before dealing with it. Yikes! I am so glad it came off the floor!

Oh, BOY! What fun you had that day! You'll get to tell that one to HIS children--and see what they do! If it's any consolation, it made me laugh! Someday, hopefully, you will, too!
